Dilectus

Data sources

Dilectus is a free, unofficial, fan-made list builder. It doesn’t write any game data itself: everything it shows comes from two community projects, BSData and Wahapedia, and is kept in step with them every day. Here’s how current it is.

How the data stays current

  1. Checked daily

Every day, Dilectus asks both sources whether they have a new version.

  2. Imported

Any change is imported, with Dilectus’s own rule fixes on top.

  3. Verified

Every import is checked before it goes live. One that fails is never loaded, and the previous data stays in use.

  4. Your lists follow

Each list remembers the data it was built with, and the builder offers to move it on when newer data arrives.

The data can still be wrong or behind the latest release. Check official sources before relying on it, and report mistakes in the data to the project it came from.

Where the data comes from

BSData

Unit, points and rules data from the BSData project — datasheets, wargear, points, unit sizes, Leaders and Support units, detachments and enhancements, and the army-building rules Dilectus checks your list against. BSData is a volunteer project maintaining the data files for BattleScribe and other army builders: wh40k-10e for 10th edition and wh40k-11e for 11th.

Wahapedia

Stratagems and core rules powered by Wahapedia — the stratagems for each detachment, and the core-rules glossary behind the tooltips on keywords, abilities and stats.

Kill Team

Kill Team rules from Games Workshop’s free rules downloads — every kill team’s datacards, faction rules, ploys and equipment, read from the team rules documents on Warhammer Community and checked against them every week.
